5 Top Tips for great Wedding Make-Up from the Experts

Hello beautiful ladies,

Want your make-up to look absolutely perfect on your wedding day?

Well look no further, we have some awesome top tips from two incredible London based make- up artists @vernillasweetmakeup and @songbirdslay.

Here's a look at their advice:

1.Book trials with potential makeup artists early (don’t wait until last minute, and get recommendations and references)

2.Outline your likes and dislikes at the trial so that the Make-Up artist is 100% clear on what you require for your wedding day.

3. Manage your expectations when you are searching for a Make-Up artist. Bear in mind that a lot of online photos have been heavily edited and filtered to give a certain look.

4. Skin care leading up to your wedding day is essential. Focus on your skin care routine and this will really have an impact on the way your make-up sits on the day. Make sure you also exfoliate those lips and stay hydrated. (Drink loads of water)

5. Eating healthy and exercising so you look and feel your best. By increasing blood flow, exercise helps nourish skin cells and keep them vital. "Blood carries oxygen and nutrients to working cells throughout the body, including the skin," In addition to providing oxygen, blood flow also helps carry away waste products, including free radicals, from working cells. Beauty Hacks

Starting your make-up with a matt finish is very helpful as naturally our skin produces oil as the day goes on. Oil can sometimes move your make up depending on your skin type. You can always manipulate the matt look with highlighter to create a more dewy look later on in the day.

A matt lip is always a good bet as it lasts longer. You are sure to be doing lots of kissing , drinking, eating etc so if anyone is gonna take a cheeky pic of you  you know your lips won't be looking washed out! After all the official pictures are taken, apply your gloss.

Exfoliate your lips and reach for a hydrating lip conditioner to moisturize your pout before applying matte lipstick. Moisturizing your lips can help lipstick apply more smoothly, as can priming.

Enjoy the Make-Up journey!

Lots of love
